Plumeria

I found these in Koko Crater Botanical Garden. When the Koʻolau trails were too wet, I often came here to hike the crater ridge and make my way down into the garden. It became a familiar route, and those were some of my favorite hiking days.

When the plumeria were blooming, I would take my time under the trees. There were so many varieties, but these pink flowers were among my favorites. This cluster caught my attention because of how closely the blossoms gathered together. I framed it so the photograph was almost entirely flowers, with their petals overlapping in different shapes.
